Following the death of the 29th Clan Chief, John MacLeod of MacLeod in February 2007, Hamish was commissioned to design and carve his headstone. Placed at the historic burial site for the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod at Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, it was carved in Caithness Stone with letters cut by James Salisbury. It was unveiled in June 2007.
Hugh MacLeod, the 30th Chief has now commissioned a new work for the grounds of Dunvegan Castle; a large granite urn which is now being carved at the Bangalore workshop and due for installation in July this year. The images show the design and work in progress.
