The Tibet Foundation have commissioned Hamish to carry out restoration work on the Tibetan Peace Garden.

 

While the sculptures and stone work remain in good condition, there is some wear in the jointing and fixing of the paving stones and around the mandala. The work, which will also include extensive cleaning and repolishing, will take 3 weeks, beginning on May 25th.

 

In 2009 an exhibition and celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of the garden is being planned.
