The Shila Shilp Workshops
The training workshops run for 10 – 14 days in temporary and well equipped work sites, bringing together up to 30 artisans at a time and from different parts of India, to work with Hamish and designer Siddhartha Das.
They guide the artisans in developing and completing the new designs; prototypes that can then be reproduced in their home villages and workshops. These products range in style and size and are carved in a wide variety of stones.
Pictured here are some of the products Hamish has developed with the artisans which can be produced to order for either local or international markets.
