 Hamish Horsley's powerful photography documents his extensive travels in the diverse and colourful lands of India, Tibet, China and East Asia where he records in intense detail the struggles and triumphs of the people as well as the breathtaking landscapes. Other photographs taken in Horsley’s homeland of New Zealand and the UK where he now lives, capture astonishing images of nature's power in seascapes and landscapes.Beginning as a way of recording landscapes and cultures which he felt particularly drawn to, Horsley’s photography has gone on to become central to his way of working. His collection of photographs depicting Tibet and Tibetan culture titled “Near to Heaven” has been toured internationally with shows in London, Barcelona, Helsinki, Dublin and Auckland.
