Commissioned by Anglesey County Council
The commission proposal was to design a landmark feature in the centre of Holyhead's Market Square. Following extensive public consultation, the initial design for a contemporary sculpture was replaced with that of a more traditional Celtic Cross which incorporated elements of an existing cross on the same site. The work stands near to the entrance of the ancient church of St Cybi and on the site of an earlier, medieval Market Cross.
